Andrea Marks Paisley is a partner in the firm’s General Business practice. Andrea has a broad-based corporate practice, which focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, private capital financing, entity formations and structuring. She also provides corporate counseling to entrepreneurs and privately-held businesses, including corporate governance issues, restructurings and commercial contracts. Andrea advises clients in a variety of industries and sectors, including technology, energy, health care, and consumer products, as well as many Houston-based entrepreneurs.
Andrea graduated with honors from the University Houston Law Center in 2010, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as the Marketing & Publications Editor of the Houston Law Review. Andrea received the 2010 State Bar of Texas Tax Section Annual Law Student Tax Paper Award for her paper Living the Dream – How Code Section 195 Can Jump Start the American Economy.
Andrea graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005 with a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Marketing. Prior to law school, Andrea worked with a St. Louis based start-up, which gave her a unique perspective on the issues facing entrepreneurs and small business owners. Andrea is a native Houstonian and enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her family and dogs.
