Matt Carver began his practice as a commercial litigator. After several years, his practice broadened to include general corporate representation. He utilizes his litigation experience in representation of the business interests of the firm's clients. In the last few years, he has spent a significant amount of his time assisting small information technology companies in everyday matters, much like a corporate general counsel. These experiences have allowed Mr. Carver to gain experience in various intellectual property areas such as software development and licensing agreements, as well as non-competition agreements, non-solicitation agreements and other similar employment-related matters. Mr. Carver joined the firm in 1992 after graduating from South Texas College of Law.

Outside of the office, Mr. Carver enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, and tries to find the time to hunt, fish and golf.
